OSAIA Health

Privacy policy

It is important to us to respect your privacy when you choose to use our services. We make sure to process your personal data properly and appropriately, so that you can feel confident using our services. In this privacy policy you can read the terms for the processing of your personal data and the rights you have in connection with a current, future or completed programme with OSAIA Health.

If you have questions about or comments on our privacy policy, you are welcome to contact us.

1. Collection, declaration of consent and storage of personal data

We collect personal data in various ways, including:

  • When you enquire about a programme, a course or similar, and you yourself provide personal data to us.
  • When you are in a programme with us, where it is necessary and important in order to give you the best service.

When you sign up for a programme at OSAIA, the following personal data is registered:

  • Your contact details
  • Information about your health and lifestyle
  • Information about illnesses and medication

We need this information in order to offer you an individual programme tailored to you at OSAIA. We also use this information to develop the OSAIA platform. You are guaranteed full anonymity.

Declaration of consent:

OSAIA wants to protect your privacy and therefore uses your data only for specific purposes. Our processing of your personal data meets the applicable requirements in the legislation and is based on your consent. You give consent for us to use your data in connection with entering into an agreement for a programme. You may always freely withdraw your consent if you no longer wish to use OSAIA's services, by contacting us using the contact details at the bottom of this document.

Storage of personal data:

We delete your personal data when it is no longer needed. Exactly when that is can vary from one programme to another. We must keep some personal data for at least 5 years to comply with the law, including Danish bookkeeping legislation. This is, for example, personal data used to issue invoices, so that we can settle tax and VAT correctly and document this to the authorities. Information about your specific programme is stored for one year, after which the information is deleted.

Because our services are about advice and guidance, we generally keep some personal data for up to 5 years, or for as long as a partner requires the data to be available for spot checks. We do this so that we can protect our financial interests and our legal position if someone were to claim that we had acted in a way that incurs liability. In that case we must be able to document which personal data we received, which agreement was entered into with the customer, and what we did in relation to the customer, so that we can protect our interests.

2. Disclosure of personal data

We disclose your personal data in certain cases. We do not sell it, we do not publish it, and we do not otherwise pass on your personal data to others unless:

  • It is necessary for us to perform our service for you. We work with selected and trusted partners to deliver our service to you. To them we pass on the personal data that is necessary, so that together we can deliver our services to you.
  • It is necessary for us to comply with the legislation.
  • You have given us consent to do so. We disclose relevant personal data to partners only if we have your consent. This may, for example, be in connection with research projects or in connection with a programme run by a municipality. Your consent, and therefore the disclosure of personal data to our partners, covers among other things that our partners may contact you, for example to ask whether you want to take part in a research project. You can object to this form of disclosure at any time.
  • It is necessary in order to protect a partner or a third party.
  • It is in connection with our use of data processors both inside and outside the EU. We always obtain your consent before we disclose your personal data to partners in third countries, unless they act as our data processors. If we disclose your personal data to third countries, we have made sure that their level of protection of personal data matches the requirements we have set for ourselves in this policy and the requirements we are subject to under the legislation.

3. Your rights

You have a number of rights in connection with our processing of your personal data.

Among other things, you have the right:

  • To have incorrect data corrected
We update your personal data on an ongoing basis. You always have the right to have the personal data we hold corrected
  • To access your personal data and receive a copy
You can at any time be informed of the purpose of storing your personal data, how long we store it, who we disclose personal data to, and where we obtained the personal data from. This does not apply if you already have this information.
  • To have your personal data deleted
You can at any time demand that the data we hold be deleted. If we no longer have a purpose for holding the personal data, we delete it as soon as possible after your request.
  • To have processing restricted
You can at any time ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data
  • To object to processing
This includes the right to object to our use of the personal data for marketing.
  • To withdraw consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time
  • To be informed about transfers to other countries and organisations outside the EU
Please note that we pass personal data on to IT companies in the United States that act as our data processors. All our data processors have undertaken to comply with applicable data protection legislation.
  • To complain about our processing of your personal data
If you experience incorrect or unlawful data processing at OSAIA Health, you can contact us by email: kontakt@osaia.dk

You can also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet). You can send your complaint by letter or through their website: https://www.datatilsynet.dk/

If you want to know more, or to exercise your rights, please contact us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

4. Storage of personal data

We are obliged to protect your personal data. We use relevant and appropriate technical and organisational security measures to make sure that there is no unauthorised access to the personal data we store. The purpose of this is to make sure that the personal data is not destroyed, altered, published or otherwise misused.

5. Risk and disclaimer

It is up to each person to take good care of their own personal data, just as it is up to our company to take account of human interference.

Although we regularly take steps to limit the risks of processing personal data, we cannot guarantee 100% that unintended incidents will not occur.

We therefore disclaim liability for any loss arising from unintended incidents related to our use and processing of your personal data, to the extent we may do so under applicable law.

We cannot therefore be held liable for loss of any kind that arises in connection with use of our company, our products and services, our website, systems, apps and other software, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Changes and updates to our terms and conditions

We update our terms and conditions on an ongoing basis. This may, for example, be when we offer new services and products.
